Quieter Than Gas Equipment

Decibels are logarithmic, so the gap is wider than the number looks. A gas mower and blower sit around 95 decibels; our battery gear runs closer to 65. That 30 decibel difference is roughly an eighth of the loudness you actually hear, which is the difference between a yard you have to shout over and one you can hold a conversation in.

Running battery equipment instead of gas has kept roughly 11,960 pounds of carbon dioxide out of the air. Using the EPA figure of about 0.88 pounds per mile for a passenger car, that is close to 13,500 miles not driven, which is about what the average American driver covers in a year.

Oak Avenue builds and looks after landscapes across Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, Brookhaven, Chamblee, Doraville, Peachtree Corners and the Perimeter. Paver patios, retaining walls, fire pits, outdoor lighting, French drains and grading, plus year-round maintenance for homes and commercial properties.

Every bit of it runs on battery equipment charged by the solar panels on our trailer, so there is no gas engine sitting in your driveway for two weeks and no 7 a.m. wake-up call for your neighbors. It is quieter, it is cleaner, and the work still has to last twenty years.

We had a massive cleanup job, and really patching mondo grass that we wanted filled in. He created several flower beds with low maintenance shade plants per my request and completely transformed our back area (that was pretty unusable). I would say prices were very competitive and fair, Lloyd was great at communication and very transparent and trustworthy. I’m so glad we found his company and hired them.
